• The top business metric is the metric that best represents the company's current business ambition, for example growing the amount of revenue, profit, or market share
• The North Star Metric measure the total amount of value delivered to the market. It's an approximation, based on how much of that core value that the customers seek the company delivers per period. It's best to measure as close as possible to the value experience, and yet keep the metric simple and understandable.
